Vikings Fall to Monroe Woodbury
10/7/07
On Sunday the Vikings traveled to Monroe Woodbury to face a tough Crusader team. This was the second time the Vikings faced this team from Monroe. The first time the Vikings scrimmaged them evenly at the Mitey-MIte Day .
Although the Vikings had success against this team earlier this season, they were unable to repeat that success during the game. The Crusaders opened the scoring in the first quarter and they were able to build upon the lead with multiple scores. Although the Vikings were able to move the ball at times, the Crusaders were able to contain Viking offensive threats Myson Robinson (25), Tiason Moreno(22) and Raymond Miller(9). Strong running by Miller(9) and Robinson(25) hi-lighted Viking drives, but they were unable to put the ball in the end-zone. Defensively, Joshua Watts(10), Christian Ancrum(51), Narenzo Kershaw(17) and Marquez Jackson(42), led the way for the Vikings.

For the 2007 season, game articles, photos and possible video will be posted mid-week following Sunday's games. Stay tuned.
