T-BOLTS Respond With 19-6 Win 9/16/07

Coach Biggie just smiled as he watched Spring Valley/Ramapo return the opening kickoff 70 yards for a touchdown to take a quick 6-0 lead against his favored T-Bolts. For one he knew that their returner was their featured runner, the same runner who used his talent to single-handedly beat the Lions last year, and secondly, he knew his players from the Jr Pee Wee level along with his returning starters, would not let him do it this year.

The T-Bolt offense responded with a drive of there own, feturing the running of Gavin Harley(24). The drive ended in a Joe Clarke(6) to Donovan Powell (9) 46 yard touchdown pass that saw Powell put on his seemingly weekly touchdown streak to th end-zone. Although the SpringValley/Ramapo runner put on a good showing for the crowd, the T-Bolts held him out of the end-zone for the rest of the day and T-Bolt's Malik Smith(34), Jonathan Forrest(21) and Harley(24) led the way.
The T-Bolts offense then went to work in the second quarter and a drive ended with a Clarke(6) to Justin Cox(40) 42 yard bomb pass for a 12-6 lead. A vicious combination tackle by Cox(40) and Harley(24) caused a SpringValley/Ramapo fumble that Smith(34) scooped and dashed 40 yards for the final touchdown. Powell(9) then ran around right end for the extra point for the final score.

John Tommarello(10), Rakim Parker(71),Corey Holder(27) and Jordan Lawrence(25)stood out during this game for the T-Bolts.
