T-BOLTs Win Defensive Game In Ramapo 7-0 10/26/08
The T-bolts traveled to Ramapo this past Sunday to play a tough Ramapo team. A week after the T-bolt offense exploded for 38 points against New City, the T-bolts defense came through with a dominant performance in a 7-0 victory.
The first three quarters were evenly matched as the two teams exchanged possessions throughout. Neither team was able to advance inside of the others 40 yard line thanks to good T-bolts defense and turnovers by both teams.
On offense, T-bolt running back Jonathan Forrest would set the tone of the day with punishing runs against the Ramapo defense. The T-bolt offensive line of Jonathan Yudell, Brandon Trotta, Jordan Luzzi, Tyrell Bennett would open holes for Forrest and Damarcus Miller to run through.
Defensively, Tyler Fernandez, Charlie Verni, Bryson Hayes, William Bloom, Antoine Lewis and Kiemon Barrow contained the Ramapo explosive offense throughout the game.
In the fourth quarter the T-bolts put together their lone offensive drive deep into Ramapo territory. Damarcus Miller would follow the blocks of Yudell, Trotta and Bennett while breaking a tackle at the one yard line into the end zone to give the T-bolts the touchdown. Miller would then add the conversion run for the T-bolt 7-0 victory.
Other T-bolts who played well included Rakim Parker, CJ Anthony, Nasir Shelton, Jacob Flemister, Jahari Ferrell, Spender Pressley, Ty-quan Adams, Ryan Gil, Jevon Taylor and Frankie Lammers.
