T-Bolt's Hold New City In 13-0 Win
10/21/07
On Sunday, the New City Rams returned to avenge a opening season loss against the T-Bolts. The Rams came out determined and drove the football downfield until the drive was halted by a Donovan Powell(9) interception. A penalty on Powell's return moved the T-Bolts back but Malik Smith(34) exploded around right end for a 81 yard touchdown. Powell(9) then added the extra point run up the middle, giving the T-Bolts a 7-0 lead at the half. The second half saw the T-Bolts move the ball with strong running by Jonathan Forrest(21) and Gavin Harley(24). A quarterback Joe Clarke(6) pass to Donovan Powell(9) put the T-Bolts in scoring position on the Ram twenty yard line. Although the T-Bolts turned the ball over to the Rams on downs, the T-Bolt defense led by Justin Cox(40), Corey Holder(27), Wjhante Holden(42) and Malik Smith(34) forced a Ram punt. Powell returned the punt to the Ram 15 yard line and on the next play quarterback Clarke(6) passed to receiver John Tomarello(10) for the touchdown and a 13-0 lead.
T-Biolts who also played well were Tyreik Kerr(1), with good pass defense. Keimon Barrow(16), Rakim Parker(71) with multiple sacks, Brandon Trotta(53) and Sam Schwarz(60). As of this writing the T-Bolts have a bye this coming weekend.
Additional photos coming soon.
