T-Bolts Run By Orangetown 21-0
10/18/09
*Game Summary*
On a windy, rainy, and chilly day the Thunderbolts came to play.
New Ro started on defense and looked affected by the cold as players were hesitant to touch the ground as well as take their hands out of their sleeves, as Orangetown begin to drive with multiple runs up the middle by their fullback.
Finally adjusted to the weather, the T-Bolts had a strong defensive stand and forced a turnover on downs as Marqez Jackson-Allen took charge stopping their running back twice in the backfield. Now on offense, quarterback Danny Pistolesi fumbled the wet pigskin which bounced back into his hands. Pistolesi then followed his blockers all the way downfield for a 45 yard score. The extra point run was good giving the T-bolts a 7-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.
T-bolts defense then came out aggressive and stopped everything the Patriots tried and forced a three and out. Teh T-bolt offense hit the field again as Pistolesi turned and handed his running backs, Dean Tommarello and Gregory Powell, the ball. The drive eventually ending with a score as Pistolesi audibled and followed his center Danny Williams for a 15 yard touchdown, ending the first half 14-0 with the PAT.
The third quarter was a mirror of the first half as the T-bolts shutdown the Patriots offense. With a few drives here and there the third quarter ended and those familiar four fingers went in the air and the T-bolts stepped up their play. The T-bolt offense controlled the quarter with the running game. Gregory Powell closed the scoring with the final touchdown and 21-0 win.
