T-Bolts Run Past Monroe-Woodbury 25-0
10/4/09
On 10/4/09 the T-bolts returned home to take on Monroe-Woodbury in a Pee Wee division matchup.
The T-bolts began the game with a defensive stop lead by Rashan Gilmore, Vaughn Howard and Isaiah Washington. Once on offense the T-bolt running game moved the ball. Gregory Powell was the featured runner on the series running behind fullback Myson Robinson and lineman Mike Davis, Daniel Williams, and end Bryce Davis.
Dean Tommarello assisted with the drive with a 25 yard burst around left end. After another Powell run, quarterback Danny Pistolesi bulled his way into the end-zone for the opening touchdown. Powell would add the extra point run and the T-bolts took a 7-0 lead.
The defensive play of Marquez Jackson-Allen, Jordan Davis and Haitam Coughlin would help the T-bolts hold the Monroe offense for the rest of the quarter. Late in the first quarter the T-bolts offensive attack went to the air. Quarterback Pistolesi connected with end Antoine Lewis who made three outstanding catches to move the ball inside of the Monroe-Woodbury 40 yard line. Dean Tommarello then followed a Marquez Jackson-Allen block on a run inside of the 15 yard line. From there tailback Vaughn Howard blasted off tackle into the end-zone behind Marcus Wallace, and Mikaiel Ebanks for the touchdown and a 13-0 T-bolt lead.
Late in the second quarter after a T-bolt defensive stand, 20 increased the T-bolt lead with a forty yard sprint into the end-zone giving the T-bolts a 19-0 halftime lead.
In the second half the T-bolts wasted no time in getting back on the scoreboard. On the third play of the half, tailback Jordan Davis took the handoff, followed Gavin Nelson and sprinted up the sideline for a 49 yard touchdown. The two teams would play out the remainder of the half to end the game at 25-0, T-bolts.
Other T-bolts who played well included Dwayne White-Edney (interception), Sincere Savoy, Joseph Phillips, Habib Dixon-King, Steavenson Fernand, Joseph Phillips, Kobe Gathers, Kasiem Mann, Jeremiah Harris, and Xaiver Goodman.
