T-Bolts And Spring Valley/Ramapo Tie 0-0
9/27/09

On Sunday 9/27/09 the T-bolts traveled to Ramapo High school to face an undefeated SV/Ramapo team in the rain. This game seemingly received the most rain of the three games played.

In the first half neither team was able to move the ball into potential scoring position. The T-bolt defense,  lead by Marquez Jackson-Allen, Isaiah Washington, Dwayne Edney-White, Gregory Powell, Haitam Coughlin, Jordan Davis, and Myson Robinson helped the T-bolts battle Ramapo to a 0-0 halftime tie.

In the second half, the T-bolts return team advanced the ball into SV/Ramapo territory when Danny Pistolesi ran the kickoff back to the SV/Ramapo forty-five yard line. Marquez Jackson-Allen then opened a hole that freed running back Dean Tommarello. Tommarello ran the ball inside of the Ramapo twenty five yard line. But the potential scoring drive was stopped when the T-bolt offense fumbled the ball to a SV/Ramapo defender. The two teams then battled for field position into halftime and through the third quarter with score remaining 0-0.

In the fourth quarter Ramapo returned a T-bolt punt inside of the T-bolt 50 yard line. This drive was stopped by the defensive play of Marquez Jackson-Allen. However, the SV/Ramapo fourth down punt pinned the T-bolts deep inside of their own territory. With less than four minutes left in the game the T-bolts offense looked to march 80 yards downfield for the winning score.

It was not to be as the Ramapo defense sacked quarterback Danny Pistolesi on first down. Two T-bolt runs did not result in a first down and the T-bolts were forced to punt from their 15 yard line. The game became intense when on fourth down the T-bolt punter was forced to run and he was tackled inside of the T-bolt twenty yard line.

With under a minute left in the game, and inside of the T-bolt twenty yard line, the Ramapo offense would pass the ball (any incompletions would stop the clock) on their next three downs. The T-bolt defense would again step up to the challenge. An incomplete pass, and defensive stops by Rashan Gilmore, Marquez Jackson-Allen and Myson Robinson ended the game and preserved the 0-0 tie.

Other T-bolts who played well included Xaiver Goodman, Jahkim Mccain, Daniel Williams, Mike Davis, Kobe Gathers, Joseph Phillips, Marcus Wallace, Jeremiah Harris, Vaughn Howard, Steavenson Fernand, Gabriel Perez, Gavin Nelson, and Bryce Davis.
