T-Bolts Fall 19-12
9/20/09

A week after tying Valley Cottage, the T-bolts looked to re-enter the win column against the North Rockland Red Raiders.

In the first quarter the two teams felt one another out by going three downs and punting for field position. In the second quarter the Red Raiders were the first to capitalize on good field position with a short touchdown drive and a 6-0 lead. The T-bolts best chance at scoring came after a Danny Pistolesi kickoff return that placed them inside of the Red Raider 40 yard line. However, the T-bolts did not score on the drive and eventually went into halftime behind 6-0.

The action picked up in the second half as both teams scored multiple times.
The T-bolts offense struck first as quarterback Danny Pistolesi reverted to his running back days by breaking Red Raider tackles. Marquez Jackson-Allen and Jordan Davis would add tough running to help the T-bolts move into scoring position. The drive would end with Pistolesi hitting Dean Tommarello with a bullet pass in the back of the end-zone, and tying the score at 6-6 (extra point failed).

After the kickoff, North Rockland then responded with a drive of their own that ended with a scoring run to take a 13-6 lead over the T-bolts (after the extra point conversion).
Early in the fourth quarter, good field position helped North Rockland put together a drive that ended in another touchdown. The Red Raiders went ahead 19-6 with the extra point run.

Tailback Jordan Davis helped the T-bolt offense respond with strong runs. A Pistolesi to Tommarello pass completion, that was tipped and caught, put the T-bolts inside of the Red Raider ten yard line. Pistolesi would end the drive with a run around end that reduced the deficit to 19-12. The blocking of Jahkim McCain, Daniel Williams, Bryce Davis, Marcus Wallace and Gregory Powell produced the scoring drive. The T-bolt’s attempt of an onside kick was recovered by the Red Raiders, who then ran out the remainder of the game clock.

Defensively the T-bolts were lead by Kobe Gathers, Rashan Gilmore, Steavenson Fernand, Dean Tommarello, and Marquez Jackson-Allen.

Others T-bolts who played well included Michael Davis, Dwayne White-Edney, Jeremiah Harris, Vaughn Howard, Myson Robinson, Sincere Savoy, Isaiah Washington, Xavier Goodman, Habib Dixon-King, and Mikaiel Ebanks.
