ThunderBOLTS Strike 26-6 9/9/07
The T-Bolts returned to action and faced a tough Orangetown team. From the beginning kickoff they showed they came to play. Malik Smith(34) exploded into the returner and caused the first turnover of the day. Donovan Powell(9) then added a trademark cross-field run before Gavin Harley(24) put the T-Bolts ahead to stay with a 25 yard touchdown. Joe Clarke(6) passes to Justin Cox(40) highlited the T-Bolts offense for the remaining drives, and in the second quarter Jihad Brogdon(3) scored from 5 yards away. Orangetown fought to get back in the game and closed the score to 13-6 after their runner broke away down the left sideline for a 60 yard score. Powell(9) then completed his hat trick (3 touchdowns) by adding a touchdown run and later catching a 60 yard bomb from quarterback Joe Clarke(6) to end the scoring.
Malik Smith(34) was a defensive force, and had a touchdown run called back, while Harley(24), John Tommarello(10),Jonathan Forrest(21), Rakim Parker(71) and Corey Holder(27) made outstanding plays.
You can recap the T-Bolts 2006 season as well as 2006 hi-lites of the 2006 Lions players who may be featured on this years T-Bolt team.
