T-Bolts Strike 28-0 vs New City 9/06/09
The Pee Wee T-bolts opened their 2009 season on Sunday by bolting to a 28-0 victory against the New City Rams. Coach Biggie Hollis’ team is loaded in the backfield but after running the ball into Ram territory, T-bolt quarterback Danny Pistolesi dropped back and passed to Antoine Lewis, who caught the tipped pass by a Ram defender for a 25 yard touchdown.
The two teams battled for field position into the second quarter when a wild series of penalties began. Jordan Davis started it with a 55 yard punt return for a touchdown. However the touchdown was called back due to a penalty.
The T-bolt offense advanced the ball to the 25 yard line when Pistolesi passed to Dean Tommarello for a 25 yard touchdown. But it was called back due to a penalty.
On the next play Pistolesi again passed for a 35 yard touchdown to Tommarello, and again it was called back due to a penalty. On the very next play, Pistolesi threw a bomb to Antoine Lewis for a 45 yard score, giving the T-bolts a 14-0 lead going into halftime.
The T-bolts came out in the second half with Tommarello returning the kickoff to the Ram 25 (after a penalty). Fullback Myson Robinson then cleared a whole for Jordan Davis to follow and Davis sprinted to the end-zone for the touchdown. Pistolesi added the extra point run to extend the lead to 21-0.
The defensive play of Kobe Gathers, Marquez Jackson-Allen, Bryce Davis, and Isaiah Washington helped keep the Rams offense from the end-zone. In the fourth quarter Dwayne White-Edney finished off the T-bolt scoring with a 35 yard touchdown run, with Kasiem Mann adding the extra point.
Other T-bolts who play well included Mike Davis, Daniel Williams, Gabriel Perez, Sincere Savoy, Gregory Powell, Rashan Gilmore, Vaughn Howard, Gavin Nelson, Haitam Coughlin, and Steavenson Fernand.
