T-BOLTS Open with Shutout 19-0

On Sunday the T-Bolts faced the New City Rams and came away with a 19-0 victory. Donovan Powell(9) has changed his number this year, but he still has the old moves. The initial T-Bolt offensive drive was peppered with the strong inside running of Malik Smith(34), Gavin Harley(24) and the outside running of Powell. Once in scoring range, Powell took a handoff that reversed field for the T-Bolt opening score from 10 yards away. In the second quarter Malik Smith(34) ran through the Ram defense for a 50 yard touchdown. The second half was a battle of field position for the T-Bolts and the Rams. In the fourth quarter, Gavin Harley(24) decided to put the game out of reach with a spectacular 70 yard touchdown run down the right sideline, which included running through several would be tacklers.

Any time a team is held scoreless it is a team effort. Some of the T-Bolt defenders who contributed to this shutout were Smith, Powell, Harley, Joe Clarke(6), Justin Cox(40), John Tommarello(10), Corey Holder(27) and Jonathan Forrest(21).
