RAVENS Fall To Vikings
9/28/08

The NRYTL Ravens were due to have this weekend off, but became a last second fill in for the Vikings, when the scheduled New Jersey Giants were unable to field a team this week. Considering many of the players found out late about this game, the Ravens played hard.

The Vikings received the ball first and moved the ball up the field thanks to bursts by Jalen Young. In what turned out to be an exhausting sequence of events. Viking quarterback Dwayne White attempted to pass and was intercepted by Raven Myles Taylor. Raven quarterback Romeo Holden then attempted to pass and he was intercepted by Viking Dwayne White.

The Raven defense clamped down and forced a Viking fumble at the Raven twenty yard line that was recovered by Hezikiah Brown. Raven Christian Ancrum then exploded for 25 yards around right end. On the next play Raven quarterback Romeo Holden attempted another pass and was intercepted by the Vikings. Alot of action in the game, and it was all in the first quarter.

The two teams settled in and played evenly through the second quarter until Viking quarterback Jordan Lewis reversed around right end and outran the Raven secondary to the end-zone. Viking Jordan Lewis scored on the Vikings next drive giving the Vikings a 12-0 halftime lead.

In the second half the Ravens were able to hold the Vikings offense for most of the half. In the fourth quarter Viking Jalen Young was able to break away for the touchdown that sealed the Viking victory.

Other Ravens who played well in this game included Jaishon Spady, Anthony Albright, Peyton Bean, Jaiden Brickle, Rashan Sullins, Myles Taylor, Corey Thomas, Xavier Thomas, Joshua Gamby, Ny-quel Fields, Hassan Mabrouk, Cobe Toure, and Andrew Capizzano.
