Chiefs Remain Unbeaten: Win 19-6 9/16/07 The Chiefs were the lone away team this past Sunday, traveling to Monroe-Woodbury to face the tough Crusaders. The Crusaders proved to be a worthy opponent as they came out and scored early. This was the first time the Chiefs have been behind this season, but after playing two close and tough games, they were prepared to fight back. The Chiefs were able to take the lead thanks to a Rashaan Davis(9) twenty-five yard burst into the end-zone. Exander Rosado(2) added the extra point giving the Chiefs a 7-6 lead. The Chiefs defense then clamped down behind the play of Ray "Macho" Ganley (19), Paul Verni(75) and free safety Khalil Edney(7). Rosado(2) added to the Chief lead before halftime by breaking away for a 40 yard touchdown. In the second half the Chiefs defense stiffened, while the offense battled for field position. The Chiefs offense sealed the victory in the 4th quarter when quarterback Jordan Frenza(1) ran a quaterback sneak 45 yards into the end-zone, with Rosado(2) adding the extra point for the final scoring.
Chiefs players who also played well in this victory were Sean Windley(94), Eric Bell(12),Brandeis Minyard(91), Cohl Saunders(34), Enrique Valencia(31), and John-Luke Bogue(40).The Chiefs are 3-0 and face North Rockland this weekend.
