Chiefs Dominate Eastchester 25-0 10/14/07
The Chiefs entered this game with something to prove. They came out determined to show that they should receive consideration as the best team in the RCPWL Jr. Midget division. Despite not having three starters, the Chiefs displayed their depth as all three replacements stepped in and contributed to the 25-0 win.
The Chief first drive was hi-lighted by the running and passing of Khalil ‘Pop’ Edney. However this drive ended with a fumble at the Eastchester 25 yard line. The Chief defense, led by Sean Windley(94), Brandeis Minyard(91) and Jose Encarnacion(17) forced the Eastchester offense to punt. The punt hit the back of a Eastchester player and gave the Chiefs the ball again at the Eastchester twenty yard line. Edney(7) then dropped back and passed to Encarnacion(17), who leaped high in the back of the end-zone for the Chiefs first score. The Chief defense forced Eastchester to punt once again and Jordan Frenza(1) took advantage with a 25 yard return that put the Chiefs in great field position. A sweep left of 25 yards by Khalil Ednry(7) set up an Edney's 12 yard touchdown pass just before halftime.
In the third quarter Frenza(1) blasted behind the block of left tackle Brandeis Minyard(91) and outran Eastchester for a 60 yard touchdown. Frenza(1) then repeated the feat in the fourth quarter to increase the lead to 25-0.
Besides the players mentioned, other defenders who contributed to this shutout were Rashaan Davis(9), John-Luke Bogue(10), Ryan Landrine(21), Malik Taylor(15), Enrique Valencia(31), Juan Caruci(50), and Cohl Saunders(34).
