Broncos Held In New City
11/04/07

On Sunday, the Mitey-Mite Broncos traveled to  New City to play the Rams and came away with a loss.

The New City Rams started fast against the Broncos with three scores in the first half. Jordan Lewis(24) Makai Johnson(34), Kobe Gathers(21),and Haitam Coughlin(10) contributed with running gains by the Broncos but were unable to convert key fourth down conversions.

The usual potent combination of Jalen Young(15), Gregory Powell(9) and Marlon Cherry(14) moved the ball but were also held out of the end-zone.

In the second half the Broncos stayed true to their reputation as a team that doesn't quit when Gregory Powell(9) scooped up a New City fumble and outran the defense to the end-zone. However, the touchdown was called back due to a Bronco penalty. Due to the previous game starting late, the Broncos game did not start until 4pm. As the sun was going down the Bronocs once again, began their patented comeback attempt but time ran out before they could score.

Broncos who played well in this game were Harvey Miles(62), Benjamin Peters (65), Nasheim Highland(42), Marcus Wallace(16), Nigel Bailey(12), Kyree Griffin(70), Amahri Ragin(50), Jordan Forrest(40), Ryan Love(22), Clifford Luke(80), and Habib King(99).
