T-Bolts Comeback in A thriller -Win 14-8

9/26

On Sunday, the Pee Wee T-bolts traveled to Valley Cottage looking to remain undefeated. After a hard fought battle the T-bolts extended their winning streak to ten games in a row (dating to last season).

The Indians received the kickoff first and let the T-bolts know that they came to play. A twenty yard kickoff return, a 40 yard gain and a 8 yard burst around end for a touchdown by the Indians, put the T-bolts down 8-0 (extra point kick by Valley Cottage) early.

The T-bolts offense was unable to mount an answering drive despite hard running by Corbin Acree, Joshua Watts, Jared Baron and Nasheim Hiland. After the punt, the Indian offense drove the field once more. Once inside of the T-bolt five yard line, the T-bolt defense of Watts, Steavenson Fernand, and Ryan Love swarmed the ballcarrier and caused a fumble that changed the course of the game.

From the their five yard line, blocking by Aidan Martinez, Luke Clifford, Khairi Manns, Grabriel Perez and Carlton Naughton helped spring Joshua Watts for a 35 yard run and move the T-bolts away from their own goal line. The Teams played one another evenly through the half and Valley Cottage lead 8-0 at halftime

In the third quarter, the T-bolts mounted a scoring drive. A D'Wayne White-Edney to Steavenson Fernand pass completion to the one yard line setup White-Edney's 1 yard touchdown on the next play. the extra point run was good but the T-bolts still trailed the Indians 8-7.

The defense of T-bolts Nasheim Hiland, Corbin Acree, and Khairi Manns would hold Valley Cottage for the rest of the day. It was clear that the T-bolts had the momentum of the game, but they were still behind as the fourth quarter reached the four minute mark.

The T-bolt offense put together a drive that positioned them inside of the Indian's 25 yard line. The T-bolts three plays netted two yards. On fourth down and eight, White-Edney took the ball, and game, into his own hands with a sprint around end for 11 yards and the first down.

On the next play quarterback White-Edney sprinted up the middle and jumped into the end-zone for the go ahead T-bolt touchdown as his team-mates swarmed him in an exciting finish.
But wait.........
To make the game more thrilling for the crowd, Valley Cottage returned the kickoff into T-bolt territory. The Indians then nearly completed two consecutive touchdown passes, as their receivers dropped the ball. But on the final play White-Edney ended the Indian threat with an interception that sealed the win.

T-bolts who played well included Jeremiah Hamilton, Zachary Little, Makai Johnson, Najee Bass, Daniel Williams, Ahmad Galimore, Marlon Gardner, Victoria Alleyne, Damani Powell, Tyree Brewton, Jalen Young, DeQuavias Lewis, Rashan Sullins, and Jose Nunez,
